Daniel Bader, Andrew Martonik, and Jerry Hildenbrand are here with a mix of follow up and piping hot news for your listening pleasure. They discuss the performance on in-display fingerprint sensors and innovations in charging thanks to Gallium nitride. Additionally, Google is adding data encryption to Project Fi. That's great, but what's the catch? Is there a catch?

Our sister site, Thrifter, is sponsoring the show this week — and with Black Friday on the horizon Jared DiPane speaks with Daniel some of the best deals for Android fans.

This week, Google release an update to their camera app for Pixel phones with a feature called Night Sight. It enables low-light photography in a way that has never been done as effectively before now.

Finally, the crew about the OnePlus Type-C Bullets vs. Google Pixel USB-C earbuds. Which of these low cost headphones are the best choice for you?

Daniel Bader, Andrew Martonik, Jerry Hildenbrand, and Hayato Huseman are here with a cornucopia of Android news. First up, they address solutions to some common problems with Pixel 3 that have been vexing early adopters, and its lack of face unlock as a missed opportunity to set an example for OEMs to follow.

Jerry shares his expertise on the USB-C spec, and how the new iPad Pro will drive demand for more, and better quality peripherals from all manufacturers — and benefiting all users in the process.

Hayato reviews the new Palm phone. It's certainly tiny. And as a device running full Android 8, it CAN do more than the minimal amount of tasks it's intended for. But does it actually help someone achieve improved digital wellness?

Lastly, the discussion turns to the announcements from Samsung's developer conference, particularly Samsung's Android 9 Pie interface called 'One UI', and their Infinity Flex Display technology. Whether or not you want one, foldable devices are on the way.

It's an iterative device, but in all the right areas with improvements to the camera, display, and better spec parity between the small and lager models. The phones will be available on Oct. 18th, with a starting price of $799.

As an appetizer to the main course, the LG V40 ThinQ and LG Watch W7 are here as well. V40 ThinQ is a solid phone, but the crew are less than impressed by LG's latest watch. Dive in!

Apple may have had their moment in the spotlight this week, but there are still many Android devices yet to come in 2018. The team dig into what we know so far about the LG V40, OnePlus 6T, and the throughly spoiled Pixel 3.

All that, and Russell raves about June. It's a smart oven with sensors out the wazoo, machine learning, and OTA updates that add more cooking features. It's a high steaks episode!

Daniel Bader, Andrew Martonik, and Russell Holly convene once again via a series of tubes to discuss lots of hot topics in Android news. First, Epic Games is bypassing the Google Play Store for the upcoming Android release of Fortnite — requiring users to side-load the game and pay for in-app purchases directly to Epic. Next, Android P finally has a name: Android 9 Pie! While not as catchy as 'petit four' or 'pumpkin spice latte', it's less controversial than the great 'New-git/New-gah' wars of 2016.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9? Never heard of it. But the Galaxy Tab S4 is here; with high end specs, build quality, and a price tag to match. A full review is still forthcoming, but comparisons to iPad and Chromebooks are plentiful.

In the home stretch, Moto Z3 is officially coming to Verizon on August 16th. It's the first "5G-upgradeable" smartphone thanks to a Moto Mod expected in 2019.

LG G7 ThinQ is a good phone that will appeal to relatively few people — and a big reason for that is lack of availability and carrier support. The crew also talk about Android P Beta 3. New features have been added as the OS marches closer to release.

In other news, ZTE is being temporarily operate in the U.S. until August 1st, although it's likely they'll reach a longer term agreement with the government before then. With Daniel Bader on a secret mission, Russell Holly steps in as guest host to chat about the week's news with Andrew Martonik and Jerry Hildenbrand. Motorola has sold over 70 million Moto G devices since 2013, and their phones are omnipresent in Brazil. Now they're looking to expand their growth around the globe.

The fun doesn't stop there! Development of eSIM technology has been halted because Verizon and AT&T can't get along. Amazon has announced the Echo Dot Kids Edition, and they want to deliver packages into the trunk of your car. Google is keeping pretty quiet about sales figures for Pixel 2, but it's clear their hardware focus is bigger than ever. Six months in, Google Lens is still lackluster but showing signs of improvement. The massive redesign of Gmail is now live, and Google Tasks has a dedicated app for Android and iOS.
