The Android podcast for everyone. A weekly show about Android, Google, and the best of mobile technology. Hosted by Daniel Bader.

Russell Holly joins Daniel and Jerry for a chat about Google's purchase of AR glasses company North. Dell's new Chromebooks with 10th Gen Intel processors could gain Steam support, which could help win the hearts and minds of gamers.

Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Wear 4100 is on the way. The company says it could provide an 85% performance boost to Wear OS smartwatches, with 25% better battery life. The gang are skeptical but optimistic about these claims.

The OnePlus Nord is now official. It's a strange name for an interesting phone that will sadly not be available in North America.

Finally, Daniel introduces a new segment to the show: "What's Making Us Happy"!

They also discuss Galaxy Note 10 rumors. Renders have recently leaked and there's no headphone jack to be found. What will differentiate the Note 10 from S10 models this year? S Pen for sure, but probably not much else.

Alex shares his experiences using the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G in London, and they chat about Android Q Beta 4. One final note — be on the lookout for a bonus episode of the show that covers all the latest news about Google Stadia!

During their one-on-one conversation, they place a light on the broader smartphone market in relation to Apple — especially as it relates to Apple's poor performance in mainland China. Apple is no longer the benchmark against which all others are judged. Many players have emerged as smartphones have transitioned from to luxury to commodity items. Additionally, ecosystem lock-in diminishes in value due to features/services that are geographically restricted.

They also talk about Samsung, AKA the "Apple of the Android World" and what's happening with them around the world. Finally, they look at what you should (and should not) expect for CES.

Hayato reviews the new Palm phone. It's certainly tiny. And as a device running full Android 8, it CAN do more than the minimal amount of tasks it's intended for. But does it actually help someone achieve improved digital wellness?

Lastly, the discussion turns to the announcements from Samsung's developer conference, particularly Samsung's Android 9 Pie interface called 'One UI', and their Infinity Flex Display technology. Whether or not you want one, foldable devices are on the way.

Daniel Bader, Andrew Martonik, and Russell Holly convene once again via a series of tubes to discuss lots of hot topics in Android news. Next, Android P finally has a name: Android 9 Pie! While not as catchy as 'petit four' or 'pumpkin spice latte', it's less controversial than the great 'New-git/New-gah' wars of 2016.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9? Never heard of it. But the Galaxy Tab S4 is here; with high end specs, build quality, and a price tag to match. A full review is still forthcoming, but comparisons to iPad and Chromebooks are plentiful.

In the home stretch, Moto Z3 is officially coming to Verizon on August 16th. It's the first "5G-upgradeable" smartphone thanks to a Moto Mod expected in 2019.

Daniel Bader, Andrew Martonik, and Jerry Hildenbrand receive a visit from the Modern Dad, Phil Nickinson! Android P has reached release candidate status and should be dropping to Pixel users soon. Next up, Phil has reviewed the Lenovo Smart Display and shares his thoughts. It does a lot already, and will have even greater functionality in the future.

Last, but certainly not least, the crew discuss Titan Key — Google's security dongle. And, yes, you almost certainly have been pwned. But you should visit the website haveibeenpwned.com to find out the details.

Daniel Bader, Jerry Hildenbrand, and Russell Holly are joined by Marton Barcza of TechAltar to talk about Google's Fuchsia OS and its potential for replacing Android. They also have an in-depth discussion about the EU's Antitrust case against Google and the $5 billion fine levied against them. The ruling may be just, but it could be argued that the outcomes will negatively affect consumers.

Daniel Bader and Russell Holly speak with Brian Mueller, founder of Carrot apps. Brian's apps have long been a mainstay of the iOS ecosystem, now he's brought his most popular app, CARROT Weather, to Android. CARROT Weather is in itself a terrific weather app, but wrapped in a hilariously snarky AI persona. He shares his experience developing for Android and his impression of the platform.

They also discuss the latest developments (pun intended) for AR/VR creation on Android. Listen carefully, meatbags!
